In any track car the driver should be the ABS. How many race cars have ABS?
All the high end race cars have abs, only self funded race teams that don't.

How much does each model/year weight? I'm curious with real world numbers, not Wikipedia.

I thought I wouldnt care about power locks/windows ect ect, I was wrong

it got very old (being my DD) but I still put up with it for 86k miles before trading it in for a X.

if its a track car why not, if you will be rolling with passengers you will see that people dont know how to lock doors or roll up windows and you will find yourself stretching across the car locking and rolling up windows.. and then trying to explain to people what the rs model evo is

Well I'm looking at 03 gsr (no sunroof) and 04 rs.
Rs has less miles and no cams but is extra 2-3k.
What's the weight difference? Idk if I should get rs instead.

The weight difference is something like 60 lbs. I got me an RS as a daily, enjoy every bit of it even the completely gutted trunk although I would like to carry a full sized spare and tiny jack in there just in case. The whole manual doors and locks isnt a big deal, especially if youve had to deal with it before. I say you tell the guy selling the RS what you could be getting (the GSR) and have him drop at least 1k off the price, if he really wants to sell it he'll drop it. Good luck man, I was barganing for mine for about a month or two before we got a set price.

I just wish that I could find another Evo IX with a five speed instead of a six speed.

As far as I can tell, only the RS has a five speed.

So is it really only 80ish lbs difference? If so then I'll just get gsr.

RS has an aluminum roof, GSR has a steel roof. Granted thats 7 lbs, and in testing doesn't really seem to affect the car that much. Other than that you could, in all reality, convert a GSR into an RS as far as I know.

Yes its not a ridiculous weight difference like 200-300 lbs, its just about 60-70 lbs.

The RS is not only lighter but also easier to perform further weight reduction. You start at -70 rather than 0 compared to a GSR. Also the 05 and 06 share the same aluminium body panels as the MR.
