""""plz someone helps my rims~~~ dont know wat to do about it~~

hey guys,
i bought a set of xxr 527 in gold. The guy that dismounted the tires chipped parts of the paint.. xxr sucks at clear coats, the paint around the chips are peeling off. the chip is about 2cm wide.
Any recommendations on how to prevent it from peeling off even more? or somehow touch up the paint ??

thanks!!!

Re-coat it yourself its not that serious. Your going to get more scrapes and dents on the rim if the tireshops dont get them the streets from potholes and crators or thieves will just tellin you the truth.

you said dismounted? did you buy them used? if you were the owner whenever that shop touched the rim... make them replace them. mounting my tires they used a normal socket and scarred my rims. so i told them to replace them. of course the were brand new. if they have an issue replacing aftermarket rims tell them to pay you the price of a factory one. they run on average 1200 bucks each

if that isn't your case then contact a local powder coating company and the manufacturer of the rims and get the paint codes then have then recoated.

or contact and local insurance agent. they have contacts with local rims repair specialist usually to cut costs on replacing damaged rims in auto accidents. bent my rims once and cost me 150 bucks to straighten and refinish it...
