New to DSMs/Evos
New to DSMs/Evos
Bought my first evo this weekend. Its from Chicago, its Mike Lee of TF's Evo8.
A little about me I guess... Not new to cars, been into them since I was 16. I now can do pretty much anything I want. I can proficiently tig weld, tuned my mr2 turbo to 450+rwhp on AEM Series 1, build engines, etc. Look forward to apply some of that to the evo
.
Anyway, love it so far minus blowing a fuse and the engine not starting(common problem apparently), SRS light kicking on (pressure washed engine bay and assuming I ruined a impact sensor), oil pressure light flickers (common problem again), and the egr monitor system failing. Not horrible problems, kind of used to it from building my deuce.
A few pics:

Took off the rear lip, installed stock spoiler (any way to keep it from peeling, its in near mint condition right now). Stock side skirts and I'm looking for a evo9 front bumper to go on soon too.
Dyno of the mr2 which runs a fairly modified 20g. The housings are modified, not the wheels. Looking to push over 500 this summer with a few more lbs, better exhaust system, a little head work, new intercooler, and intake manifold.

Good looking car. My brother has a 20G MR2 as well. He bought it for a couple grand thinking he got a great deal. Every piece of suspension had to be replaced. The car should be back on the road any day now. I like MR2's, but a little too small for me. They are really fun cars to drive though.
