As a new member and future Evo owner. I'm looking to get an Evo 8. I know I want the 2005 model for the ACD and more boost. Just wondering about the tuning advantages of the gsr vs the mr. I won't be doing much to it at first. Intake, exhaust etc. Any opinions on which one to go with? Thanks!

 

5speed vs 6speed

 

I've heard a lot of gsr owners wish they had a sixth gear for highway driving. How big of an issue is this really if your going to mod it?

 

There is no tuning advantage.

 

depends if your gonna drag or track or just daily kinda

 

More daily. Maybe some track down the road. I'm looking more at the '03 model year now.. more affordable.

 

then go with 5 speed maybe?
