What is this Evo worth?

Hey guys, I need some educated and realistic opinions from the community to help me make a "business" decision.

I've got an opportunity to purchase another Evo for what I think is a really good price but I wanted to get some honest/realistic opinions on what the car is worth in our current market. Here are the details on the car:

Basic
2005 Evo 8 GSR
85,000 miles
Electric Blue
Mechanically sound
Ext. has a few dings but overall it's pretty good
Int. is in very good condition

Mods
Almost completely stock and looks like it's been that way most of it's life. The only mods I could see were an aftermarket DV (Greddy I think) and an aftermarket cat-back exhaust.

Cons
- ACD pump likely needs to be replaced
- May need new pads and rotors

Please list a price of what you think the car is worth and maybe some thoughts to support your price. Thanks for your input!!

It also depends on what state the car is. For example I live in El Paso (not a place that I like but I have no choice) that car will be around $15,000-$18,000.

KBB with the zip code that the car is located in. Have it looked over to determine if the ACD really needs to be replaced and then I would subtract what needs to be fixed from the KBB prices.

Thanks for the input guys! Yeah I've checked KBB and I've also done some searches on cars.com and Autotrader. However, those aren't always representative of what cars are actually selling for, so that's why I wanted to get some opinions from the community.

Dealers will ask astronomical prices and sit on cars until someone is foolish enough to pay that price. That doesn't mean the car is worth that much.

$15K sounds reasonable, if not a bit high, for a car with a functional ACD in top-notch shape. If the ACD must be replaced, definitely subtract the price of the repair from whatever you value the car at.

Good luck.

people can always ask whatever they want for a car, but the fact of the matter is, you show them the kelly blue book value, and you offer straight cash in hand they will probably take your deal if its reasonable enough. Also if they do not have the receipts and paperwork for any aftermarket modifications then they cant ask for more because you dont know what kind of job they did and if will affect the car later on.

Money talks, people usually settle for thousands less when you show them the facts and have straight cash in hand.

Just keep looking, its not hard to find an evo that isn't falling apart especially for the slight price difference to a nice one.

I'd take the car to car max and get it appraised, its free? see what they would pay for it. then they will provide you the reasoning behind their offer to base your offer on.

I'd say closer to the $18000 as It's hard to even find a 2003 as low as $15000 in good condition

Nada.com and edmunds.com are two other sites you can use. Check all 3 to give you a good estimate
