hoping my evo IX MR isn't totaled...

Hello peeps,
It's been a long hectic week for my family and I especially what happen to myself on the highway on friday. I tried to avoid a huge piece of debris that flew to my lane after a car ran it over and going at 65 I swerve and lost control of the vehicle, did a few spins and hit the median cement barrier. Thank god all the tractor trailers hadn't passed around that time. I have a bruised shoulder from the impact. I had the evo for 6 years, never had an issue with it, just hit 100k the other day. I love this car. All my friends and family know it as well. I hope to hear good news tomorrow about the shop fixing it back up. This feels like a nightmare. this is not the way I wanted to introduce myself...

So sorry to hear the bad news, but it doesn't look like a total loss. I have seen much worse and still not completely totalled. Wish u the best!

sorry to hear about your accident bud, I don't want to be negative but honestly looks totaled to me. Gotta remember it takes less and less every year to total an evo, as the price goes down it's much easier to reach the cut-off with repairs. On the bright side there are plenty of shells running around or otherwise well taken care of evos that could benefit from you powertrain.

Thanks fellas. I find out the good or bad news today. Roof isn't damaged just the two quarter panels, rear bumper, and trunk.

Spoke with my insurance and they say if it's more than 12k of damage it's a total loss. I don't think it's that much. At least I'm hoping it's not. Damn adjuster is taking his or her time and it's killing me.

They can bring down the cost of the repair by using used parts. It's the labor that's going to kill you. trunk and bumper are simply replaceable. its the work on the quarter panel that may be a bit. I can't imagine it all going over 12k though.

That's what I was thinking. Trying to be positive here. Thanks for your input.

sorry to hear about your luck man. If you wind up buying it off the insurance company and want to part it out i just bought a wrecked GG IX and i need both front fenders and hood and front bumper and acd pump solenoid. I hope for you though that it is not a total loss but if you need to part it out shoot me a pm and we can try to make a deal on some parts.
