Trying to find a stock cat, would like a definitive answer on whether or not an 8 stock cat will fit on my 9, or can be modified to? thanks!

 

No. I might be wrong but to my understanding, they got different flanges.

If you take it to a muffler shop, they should be able to have whatever flange you need welded on.

 

flanges are the same between the two. the only difference is that the 9 cat has the rear O2 sensor bung in the middle of the cat rather than in the catback (meaning the catback is also slightly different, but only the bung). whether or not this is a problem depends on what catback you have and if you can just put the rear O2 sensor there. but yes, it will bolt up just fine.
