Newbie from VA
Hi I just joined the forums. I currently own a 2003 350z, and looking to sell or trade the car in for an evo. Previous cars I had were a MKV GTI. I guess I miss the turbo, not the FWD though
Hope to see you all around!

Hi Ray. Did you get your tint done at TNTTint in Alexandria? Just wondering because that Madico Charcool name sounds very familiar. I think I had that same film on my GTI.

Sorry for the two year old bump, but I wanted to "re-introduce" myself. After selling my 350z, I could not find a decent Evo 8/9. So my friends convinced me to get a 2005 STI last year. Sold the car last month and picked up my Evo 9 SSL
Still getting used to the car and differences between the two, but definitely look forward to autocross!

Thanks man, your car is awesome too. Both the Evo and STI have stock suspension, and have the same mileage on the chassis (~85000), so this should be a fair comparison.
The Evo steering is a lot tighter, and handles sharper than my STI. Even with a front blown shock and winter tires, the car is very responsive whereas the STI steering and handling was more vague? I have friends with the same year STI who upgraded chassis braces, coilovers, other suspension components, but the stock Evo still turns tighter IMO.
As for daily driving, aside from the heavy clutch (running Exedy Twin HD) and notchy transmission, I find it more comfortable to drive in stop and go traffic with the Evo. Goes against popular opinion, I know. The GD STI had rear strut clunk so passengers in your car think your car is about to break. Springy front seats also bounces your body up and down, causing bobblehead. It has been known to make some people sick. It can be solved with mods, but just a stock comparison. With the Evo, it's also a stiff ride, but I find it a lot more bearable.

Good detailed response. When my cars up and ready we can go do some events maybe, bro.
