will a bad throw out bearing cause the service engine soon light to come on?

 

no because the throw out bearing is a mechanical part not an electrical part. Here is a few pictures of a bad one and good one lol...lucky for you i'm in the process of changing mine! Best thing to do is to get the code read and go from there.
