Had a few of my previous photos "dolled up" a bit…

Plans for the car this Spring/Summer haven't changed. I plan on going with a MAP switch setup for pump gas and e85…(will order up some new injectors and fuel pump) I have some CV axle boots that need replacing as well. I'm going to put in some new OEM spark plugs and as stated, freshen up my brake pads and rotors…. along with changing out the brake fluid and do an oil change.
I have a few small things to install; picked up a freshly painted wicked white wingless and keyless trunk from a forum member in Mn. here. I also have a set of VERY good condition VIII standard enkei wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE-011 tires to put into place as well. I've just always liked the look of the stock VIII wheels. Springtime can't get here fast enough, especially with the frigid cold we've had here in the Midwest! Looking forward to Evo Season with my car!

Thank you, wicked white is for sure my favorite color on the Evo IX. It really shows the lines of the car… a lot of people in the general public I know are not fans of "white cars" complaining about keeping them clean… that's never an issue for me, as I enjoy cleaning and detailing my car on a VERY regular basis. A clean Evo is a happy Evo!

White Bear Mitsubishi is actually #1 in selling Lancer Evolutions in the Midwest. They don't get too many VIII or IX's there, but they may be able to find one if you go talk to Bobby… Great place! Good luck!

Still need to put up an official "build thread" but I'd like to get a little further along than where I am…
Car is out of storage FINALLY… after having my Mustang out for the first half of Summer.

I'm going back to stock OEM IX tails… Going to get rid of the "mock" VII tails and pick up a set of Depo VII tails instead.

Tested out my NEW shift knob… far better than the white Razo I had.

Better tails!!

short term plans: change plugs, I have OEM from WBM, oil change with Mobil 1, also have a filter from WBM. I also have a bottle of S1 injector cleaner I want to run through the car. Then later this week, I'm throwing on the Enkei VIII wheels & tires I picked up, just to see how they look. I've always been a huge fan of the VIII stockers. Then, we'll see what ideas I can come up with cosmetically next… as I'm VERY satisfied with the car's setup. Ron tuned it last year and until I go E85, I'm happy with the car.

all foamed up with MR. PINK from my foam cannon.

I also use Chemical Guys clay mitt, to clay my entire car when I wash it… car feels like glass EVERY time I wash it. It's an amazing setup!

thankfully I don't have to fully clean the car that often, as it's a "toy cruiser" and not a daily driver. It doesn't get that soiled with dirt, it only needs a good spray detailing or a splash of waterless wash (EcoSmart from CGs) to clean it off.

We now continue with "Project CLEAN Evo"… I picked up my new wheels and tires and did a bit of cleaning to my undercarriage.
Evo VIII Enkei wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE-011s that I had picked up from member "Bramage_Dained" a little over a year ago. Most would consider these wheels a massive downgrade, but I REALLY like the look of the VIII wheels and these wheels are insanely clean! I had also noted in a previous post, these VIII wheels are the exact wheels that were on the very first Lan-Evo that I ever test drove a few years back in Brookdale.

Cleaned up the fender walls and the suspension components with some Chemical Guys "All-clean" then followed it up with some "Bare Bones" undercarriage spray to keep everything looking nice and shiny.

I just think the wheels look VERY clean and they will certainly be a lot easier to clean than any multi spoke wheel I have in place!

Overall I'm very happy with how they look. Wheels do completely transform the car and these are no exception. With as clean as the car looks, I think just about any clean, well-kept wheel would compliment the car very nicely. I plan on keeping the BBS SEs as well, and I'm still on the hunt for a CLEAN set of OEM IX wheels. I really want to pick up all the OEM wheels, as I really like the looks of all of them.
