Need to decide. Ralliart or Evo X

Don't know if this is the right place to post so sorry if it isn't. So pretty much I have always wanted a Evo X. I went to the dealership today but they didn't have any. They had a 2010 ralliart though. It only has like 20,000 Km's and is in very good condition. This version had the recaros and also the HID package. But more then anything it is only 22k. When I drove it it was okay but honestly I was hoping for a little more power. Now the question is should I buy this and just mod it or buy a brand new Evo X GSR? I'm only 19 so I know I have time to get faster cars but I want to keep this next car for many years. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

The fact you're 19 makes me want to scream Ralliart! I'll be honest and say this, the Evo is too much car for you. Get the Ralliart, get used to the power and handling, and slowly begin modding it. A simple reflash on an otherwise stock car will make the RA just as quick as a stock Evo X, then if you want more you can start adding stock Evo X parts like the intercooler, turbo, etc. I would imagine being 19 makes the cost of mods a huge concern, and stock Evo X parts are fairly cheap...plus your insurance and purchase price would be quite a bit cheaper.

I work for one of the biggest private insurance company up here in Canada so what I pay for insurance is just peanuts lol. I drive my buddies modded skylines r32's and s14s that are putting atleast 300hp to the wheels. I have been on the track and can handle power and dont plan on "getting sideways" like an idiot, just some highway pulls and for me to get around in the snow up here lol, but I understand what you mean. I would save like 20k going with the ralliart over the Evo..

22k for a used RA isn't that great. I got my new 2012 RA for a total of 24k.

I'm super ecstatic about this car, love it SO much more than my GTS <--WEAK lol. But now that I've had it for almost 3 months, I want MORE power! I say, if you have the chance and the funds, go for the Evo...

Yeah thats the differance between the states and Canada. **** aint cheap! lol. But this does have the HID's and the recaros which is cool. Thats the one thing I'm scared about. I dont want the car and enjoy it for like 2 months then crave more power

Its not about someones age, its about their maturity level. You know how mature you are. I can name a few 30 year olds that I know that are extremely immature. Then I've met people who were 16 living on their own working full time and paying rent and bills.

When I bought my Honda CBR 1k everyone told me I was going to kill myself because how quick the bike is. But the bike only went as fast as I wanted it to. It would only drive recklessly if I wanted it to. You control the vehicle. If you are a mature individual and can restrain yourself, you'll be ok in the Evo. Also the stock Evo isn't all that quick anyways. And with the AWD it is difficult to loose control.

I have seen comments from RA owners who at some point wish they bought the Evo instead or ended up trading up for the Evo. I know I would have. I say if you can afford it and are a mature individual then get the Evo. You know deep down thats what you want. You wont be happy with anything besides it. Also I think Evo's hold better used car value (especially private party) then a Raliart does.

i like how everyone says get a Ralliart because the Evo is too much of a car for his age..really a whole whooping 300hp is a lot? Come on my grandmas lincoln with ecoboost has 300hp or more. Too much of a car would be a 600hp shelby not an Evo, those days where 300hp was a lot of a car are over. SOme of the most successful race car drivers have started to race at age 14, so age dont mean shiiit, its the MATURITY level that counts.

To the OP, i say wait for the Evo, the ralliart looks way to plain. Evo looks 10 times better
