Is 93 oct all the same?

Hey guys! Im here once again with another newbie question. Like the title says, is 93 oct all the same no matter what gas station you fill up?

I ask because ever since i pumped at Valero gas station my car started having idle problems cold start. I pumped twice at this gas station, but don't plan on doing it anymore. The car runs great once its warmed up, and when i come to a complete stop and its idling theres no problem.

Any comments are helpful

Thanks guys

Oh, and where do you guys fill up?

Shell and Texaco are the best. Stick with those if possible

I would like to see these results too. I'm sure everyone has there own favorite gas station. I can get approx 350 miles/tank running Sunoco. Every other gas station varies just about every fill (only other two I use are Exxon and BP) until I switch to e85

That's probably why I started to having bad idle problems. Just on what you said makes me want to vomit lol. Thanks for your input

Worst 10 bucks ever spent on gas right??

Prior to filling at Valero I would always pump at a Shell gas station, but took a bad choice with Valero

Talking about Shell, I always see a little sticker that says "may contain 8% Ethanol", and at others it never says anything like that. Can Ethanol be a good thing for our cars

By me it says up to 10%. Remember E85 is 85% ethanol. So if the pump gas is making it E10 thats actually better since it will possibly make a tad more power.

Here are the best gas stations to go to.

On my old car, I was tuned on Shell 93. Filled up with T/A travel center gas, got 3.6* of KR. Ran fine on Sunoco, Speedway, Marathon. BP felt worse but didn't knock, got knock from Getgo, Valero, Walmart.

Yeah I think you should fill up with 93 from chevron. I read that the higher the rating the better for high performance cars. I also read somewhere that Evo owners from California suffer from 91 oct I don't know what they mean by "suffer", but it could be poor performance from using 91.
