Meth nozzel tapping

Im considering running a meth injection kit on my evo 8 since Im finishing up putting together the 2.4 long rod setup and I wanted to know if anyone has gone as far as to tap the intake runners themselves for individual port injection. I'm pretty sure that the runners have enough material to thread ect. anyone have any input?

you can and people have, if you want to run just water or only a little bit of meth direct port into the manifold can be ok, however the consensus seems to be from what I have read that spraying into the intercooler pipe allows more time for the meth to disperse into the air charge and for the best cooling of the air charge.

Really it's up to you. You can search direct port injection evo if you want to find more.

i had a single nozzle tapped 8" before the tb. only problem with tapping the runners is that if you ever want to get rid of meth you will have 4 holes to plug. also i dont think there would be proper atomization being so close to the cumbustion chamber.

I think Im gonna go ahead and do port injection with it. I dont mind plugging 4 holes if it needs removed and I have been told that the water/meth mixture flash vaporizes in the combustion chambers and absorbs the heat and still adds to detonation protection acting as higher octane. I like the idea of even distribution for some extra cost
