the only thing holding me back from getting one really is that id have to pay this 300+ a month for 5 years straight and i dont know for sure if my parents are helping me pay for college or if im on my own on that or financial aid i got no idea how that ****s gonna work but im not at a dead end job right now like most 18 year olds are i started at this company as an intern now im a marketing coordinator and theres alot of room to expand here

Wait till you get to the end of the road before looking at it. The payment for the car will be determined on your credit. With school, financial aid and everything like that they see you with that car its almost a denial for all that. It sucks but the way they think of it is you can afford a car like that you can afford school.

its a good job, honestly tho you dont think its much but id wait one more year. it makes all the difference save up for down payment and banks wana see a steady job/income and youl be able to enjoy the car not stress it. be patient so your research on evos, find the right one that stuff takes awhile anyway so start now.. i think a $15000 evo is gona have a good mount of miles on it tho.

I agree 100% with both of these statements. You are young, don't make bad financial choices, they WILL haunt you. Have patience, enjoy your DSM, and save up to buy an Evo when you are more financially stable and hopefully able to afford living on your own. I am 26 years old and all of my cars are paid off including my EVO which I just bought a few months ago. I still have my DSM too so I feel you with wanting to keep it. I had my DSM for 9 years before buying my Evo.

I was 19 when i got my evo. It was $18,500, i saved $4,500 to put as a down payment. It only had 47000 miles on it (thats low to me). Keep an eye on autotrader and this forum. I still drive that evo to school and work, and can sometimes even save up for mods. It's not impossible, but you really have to be disciplined. I can't lie I am a slave to my car to afford it, while being a fulltime student and employee. But if you feel like its worth it to you, go for it. I dont regret it. I had to take a 5 year loan also. Its just my kind of lifestyle.

Idk what good my story does for you, just know it's not impossible, it will just be difficult.
