Walmart Overfilled Oil.

So I went to Walmart and they added 5.4 quarts of oil. When I measure it it is above the second line. On high rpm my breather filter is spitting out oil. What's the easiest way to remove some oil?

Yeah man, only use reputable shops. Not a discount store.

You can crack the drain plug and loosen it enough to let some oil seep out or you can remove the filter and let the oil in the housing drain which is about 300ml (1/3 qt).

Just remember to put the filter back on...

Pull the dipstick out, open oil cap and hold it on the rev limiter in 3rd gear.

FWIW I run one quart over factory spec in my track evo without issue, just gotta zip-tie the dipstick to the motor.

Walmart is not the only place thats made this mistake. They dont figure that your oil cooler is part of that capacity and it doesnt drain out with a typical drain

Take it back to walmart. Have them drain and have them completely clean your engine bay.

Ive ran 5qts without issue. As for ziptie, use a spring to keep it in also, as cutting and replacing that ziptie everytime you check oil is a pita

You guys should learn to do it on your own. You shouldn't be shocked when Walmart ****s up your car.

You ask a dumb question and this is what you get.
