im new here and i was reading threads to figuring out what exact engine i have but was just getting confused. i have a 2004 lancer oz rally and believe i have the 4g93 but not really sure. Want to make sure which exact engine it is so i replace it since the current one is blown and to start increasing performance on it as well. Thanks alot in advance

 

2.0 SOHC 4g94 engine @ 120hp.

No problem at all. The oz rally was originally gonna be the first car I owned but bad luck struck with money. Cool little cars but, I hate the front bumper. Only confusion I have is I thought the oz rally was only 00 to 03. I thought in 04 with the revised front bumper they started offing the ralliart which is a completely better engine.

 

yea honestly at first i thought it was a ralliart when i saw it but then realized it was an oz.. but i didn't mind at the end its a pretty good car and reliable plus i want to see how fast i can make it. i know its takes a lot of money and time but im in no rush. was reading other threads and i think i might swap it out for a 4g64 engine later on in the future

 

If you live close to texas you could of went to mexico and bought a older lancer. They come with the the 4g63 DOHC in mexico which means within reason you could turbo the engine and have FWD Evo lol.

 

haha next time i take a trip down there ill be sure to get one. ill be getting my car back on thursday hopefully
