+1. Also, give us a list of every mod you have. That'll help us get a better idea of what you need.

There's really not a whole lot you can do to make it faster unfortunately unless you plan on dumping a ton of money into it, but you already said you're on a tight budget. I'd just do small and tasteful cosmetic stuff if i were you.

Having once been that age with a car that I wanted to mod, I will say that saving your money to mod your car (and a Lancer, at that) is a big waste of your money that you will not be happy with in hindsight. Have fun with your car, learn about what interaction gets it to behave the way it does, and save up your money toward a better car in a few years.

+1 dude you pretty much have no options on a tight budget..your only option at this point would be to put a turbo in the car...been done but you would be better off enjoying the car and saving up for a faster car down the road

We've all made mistakes before when owning our first car. I can say if you want to experiment with this vehicle, use it as a tool to learn. You will make mistakes, and you will learn from them. As far as making the lancer very fast, you are pretty much out of options without dumping a lot of money into it. Learn to drive the car, drive it well and build your knowledge first.

Second that. I did that to a few cars, and it really didnt make them much faster. tons of money will be needed to make your car faster. Best thing to do is enjoy the car the way it is and save your money. I know you wont keep that car forever, so save your money for the next better car to mod.

Honestly if you want cheap thrills and you know the cars not gonna last forever. Nitrous.

It will make your car faster.

Weight reduction will also give you speed.

A bigger throttle body.
Light weight fly wheel and clutch + short shifter.

Also the front of the original lancers blows put a different front on. A evo 7. Sure it will look poser but it will look tons nicer.

A stand alone ecu and a tune will give you more performance than anything else but its expensive just like building your engine would be.

A good example of this is that the 2g eclipse 420a engine is considered ****. However the current record holder now has gotten 215 WHP out of the 420a all motor. Its got around 92whp to begin with. Its a a huge investment but that car is friggin fast. Its pushing 13 second quater miles which is as fast as stock evo almost.

Depends on what kind of car you want.....just saying a "fast/quick" car isnt enough of a description....ppl buy cars for many reasons...you are 16...enjoy the car you have now for a few years and become a better driver before getting in to a fast car....in 2 years you could ****** up an s2000 or EVO or STI....better yet look in to a WRX or MazdaSpeed3

I started with the 2003 Dodge Stratus RT... then jumped to a 09 Lancer GTS and now a 11 Evo X - Plus if you purchase an evo your insurance will be out the roof.

Being 16, inexperienced and making minimum wage, worry about your next car in a few years.

10k will get you a nicely modded SRT4 but that's really about it. You wont find a good condition evo for 10k or STI in that case.
