Are these cars actually selling right now?!?!?!?!

hey guys

not trying to start a fight right now but wanted to ask people with their evos for sale.

Are cars moving? are people actually paying these prices?

I remember back in 08 buying 06 evo 9 SE with full bolt ons and 15K miles for 20K with an extra set of rims and tires. Clean title mint car.

and that was paying their full asking price for the car!!! (dont get me wrong this was a good deal)

i just cant fathom some of these car prices.

I mean used 06 MRs with 85K and people are asking $25K!! Thats insane.
6 month ago i feel like that car would have been $18K

if their selling then their selling but to me it seems like nothing has been moving on the FS boards.

just give me a heads up.

If people are actually getting these prices good for you but i wonder how long they will stay at those values.

the car is becoming more rare as it gets older imo. You pay higher prices for harder to find things generally. I also feel that the VIII and IX are more popular than the X, so prices reflect that as well. I dunno though, I got my VIII with bolt-ons with 78,xxx for 17k lol.

im with u on the prices. these arent supras, its not a limited production vehicle either.
but whatever, its their car. i find that most put high prices just so they cant sell the car. meaning they dont want to sell but if some fool pays it then its gone.

i got my 8 with 50k original, bone stock for 12k

Thank yourself lucky you are not in Australia, minimum price for an Evo X here is about $40,000 AUD ($42k USD)!

Depending on condition/mileage, and who has owned the vehicle, low to mid 20's for an asking price is perfectly condoned IMO. Nice unmolested evo's are becoming harder to find.

It's the IX's that seem ridiculously priced; hell, I giggled all the way to the bank when I sold my IX, then went to the dealership and bought my X the next day.

I do agree, some of the asking prices are crazy. But 90% of the time, most of the people who menstruate about these cars being ridiculously priced are the ones who cant afford them to begin with.

Evo 9's are getting very expensive. Average cost regardless of millage now is 20k. Evo 8 are cheap and always have been. X are on the same price and scale as anything in their class.

Its rarity and the demand really hasnt gone down if anything the older evos went up as soon as people knew the X wasnt gonna have 4g63. Also the prices are going up as everything assumes the evo will die off completely.

Its kinda the same reason you see 2g GSX go for $10,000 sometimes.
