I've been a long time Evo fan, and have been saving up for a while now to be able to buy one. I will be looking to purchase an VIII or IX in the spring, and I'm just wondering if there are any things I should be looking for specifically when buying my car.

I'd prefer a stock or close to stock car, so that I can do all the work myself and to help me get to know the Evo's better. Any tips on what could be a potential red flag when I'm looking at these used cars?
