hey all, My name is Andrew, i actually own a Mazdaspeed6. i know its not everyones cup of tea.. especially here, but im currently building it into a hill climb car/street machine to run some local events in PA.
my neighbor just bought an evo8, looking to learn a little bit about DSM's and evos.

lol, honestly, i bought my speed6 in 2008, and one of my buddies bought an evo around about the same time. i have been envious of how these things make power and how they perform. im too deep in my speed6 to switch now. lol

Welcome! What events do you plan on doing in PA? Did you go to Jeff Evans to tune your car?

lol... yeahhhhh... as said before, its AWD. the speed3 is fwd.



and I plan on entering the Pagoda, and Duryea hill climbs in Reading, PA. I have 2 buddies that run in that. and I am REALLY praying that Liberty bell raceway will open within the next couple years. haha.


that's Evans tuning right? big in the Honda world? he didn't tune my car, but he did tune another speed3 that I know of. he has quite the shop.

 

You're not far from CBRD over in York, have you gotten a chance to check out his shop?

 

Yes his shop is worth checking out! I live in Lancaster pa to. Another tuner and parts guy is also tscomp he lives in Lancaster to and his work is amazing also.

Wow, yeah definitely! I knew about cbrd, the friend that bought the evo about the same time I bought my 6 has a good amount of work done by CBRD. Chad, you might know him.. Tim Haldeman?

also, figure i should at least post some pics of my car. its a work in progress, the engine is out of it right now, but it is slowly coming together. these were obviously taken before we tore it apart haha.. running a GT3071r, on a VERY VERY% conservative tune. Meth injection, full bolt ons, stock clutch, stock block, stock head.. it was a mere 320awhp and 300ft-lbs on 18 psi. the only thing that i did as far as racing with it was Drag, and went 12.47@110mph

 

I'm digging that valve cover color.
