Joining the dark side
Hello all, I am currently stationed in S. Korea and I will be back in the states in November. I haven't driven a real car in the past 3 years as I have been in Korea. I use to be a big suby guy but as they say i am looking to join the dark side.
It's not the dark side... this is the better side as I'm sure everyone will tell you once they post here. Give us some information... What're you looking at getting? Mods? Ideas? Questions? You will find this a friendly forum with a lot of answers quick.

I know this is the better side. I use to own a dsm back in the day. Made super easy power. I'm looking at getting a IX, hopefully in WW. To start off i'd like to make 400 whp on the stock turbo. With my research that i've done that will involve e85, tb, intake, licp and most likely cams. Future plans would most likely be built motor and a big enough turbo capable of 400+ on pump.
That sounds like a realistic goal to meet. My suggestion however would be;
-Turbo-Back
-Intake
-EBC
-Walboro 255
-FIC Injectors (1100cc)
-E85
And you should have no problems getting to your goal

Saw you in KS...I was stationed at McConnell AFB in wichita..just pcs'd to cali few months ago. I went thru 5 subies in KS and then decided to get EVO...enjoying it more than any of the subies i had. Have you checked out Modified by KC?
I had a 05 WRX before the Evo. I have a IX with a BBK Full turbo and bolt-ons and make 416 hp on 93 octane. BBK is stock frame and doesn't flow much more than stock, with stock like spoolup, and easily attained your goal! You will be good with bolt-ons and E85 for sure, with much better performance and reliability than the Suby.
Also, thank you for your service.

Korea has been amazing! I've been here for going on 3 years and I've traveled to some other asian countries while i've been here as well. awesome culture. Love it.
Plans are to stay stock turbo for a while and see how much i can squeeze out of it. I know it won't take long until i'm upgrading the turbo though. Been saving for this moment for 3 years now lol.
