Question about cams on EVO IX
Question about cams on EVO IX
I recently removed the Cosworth M2 intake cam on my IX because I saw some abnormal wear on it while installing some new valve springs. All the stories of snapping Cosworth intake cams got me paranoid, so I took it out and replaced it with my stock MIVEC intake cam.
I kept the M2 exhaust cam in. Is it okay to run this setup until I get a new intake cam? Anything I should be concerned about?

Your tune would be affected because the duration of the cam is different.
Less intake opening.. I guess drive it around, but don't beat on it and hope that the new cam comes within days. Just watch your AFR's and knock counts
