Smile Hello

I'll start off by saying this is a well laid out site! I came here to begin my search for an Evo 8/9, as well as increase my knowledge about these cars. A few different sources have pointed me here.

I'm in my early 20's, and interested in importing one of these fine cars into Canada next season. I'm a DSMer at heart (1G to be specific), and got my first one when I was 16. So I know first hand what the 4G63 can do I've always liked the Evos, not only because of what they can do, but how rare they are in Canada. I think what got me absolutely hooked is when I was in Ohio this year to the DSM/Evo Shootout (for my first time) and I was able to see all sorts of them, with all different mods and colors all in person. That was one of the main reasons I decided to part my DSM and save up for one.

Right now I'm driving a Hyundai which has been my winter beater for the past 3 or so years.

Here are some of my past cars:

94 FWD ES-Turbo

90 TSi AWD - Rotted, but I used it to build my 92.

And the 92 TSi AWD

Lol:

It put down 397 awhp/ft-lbs and got me a 11.9 @ 118 on the FP Green, street tires, pump 91/meth and a full leather interior. The stock 6-bolt had over 160k miles on it when I pulled it out in running condition, despite having low compression in 3 of the 4 cylinders.

So that is me and my story, I'm looking forward to finally being able to find a nice clean Evo to bring home in the near future

Thanks, it's been a good car to me. I actually just sold the shell a few days ago. Now every time I go in the garage there's an empty spot reminding me that I need a new toy

Thanks! A lot of people kept telling me that, but I didn't really see it. I thought the lowered/rims/fart can/intercooler gave it away a little. The intercooler was quite large, I didn't chop up my bumper though. 2 rows were hiding at the bottom, and the top made it all the way to the middle of the Eagle logo. I knew the ricers and cops would hound me if they saw the entire thing lol

Here are a few more pics of it:

At the Shootout this year:

And a few videos from the track:

Nice vids! It is a super sleeper because I see DSMs like this one on the road and they are normal. Just by looking at those vids that DSM is putting down some serious hp, but if I was on the highway cruising by and I saw your DSM from the back I would think its normal.
