2005 Ralliart Snow tire question

Hey everyone,
This is def. a noob question, so hopefully it is posted in the right part of the forum.
I have done some searching and it seems like I am getting conflicting answers about running 195 60 r15 snow tires on steel rims on my 2005 ralliart.

Short story is this... went to costco and they had Blizzaks in stock size (205 50 r16). They wanted $770 for them. I found some X-Ices mounted on steel rims shipped to Juneau AK for ~$840 from tire rack. I figure this is a better option since I don't have to pay to have the mount my tires twice a year. I was a little nervous about sizing down and going with steel rims so I looked on the forum and it seems like a few people might be doing the same thing. I went to price check with a local store and they said I couldn't do it, said that I wouldn't have clearance for the breaks. So does anyone have first hand experience with running minus one wheels on steel rims?
Any help is much appreciated.

Yeah wrong section, there's a spot for ralliarts. 195 60 r15's are just fine. I run that size winter on mine.
