Why did you buy your evo?
because yeah, subaru owners are weird. i know 2 that i sometimes hang around with. they are quote arrogant/ignorant.
subaru owner 1: "my car will definiely beat your car. mine goes from 0-60 in 3.66 seconds"
lets not forget that that is NOT racing. real driving/racing is an all around track. not just 0-60mph BROOOOO!!!!!!.
subaru owner 2: "i hate all evos and all evo owners. they are never allowed onto my driveway!!!)
That was the guy that put aftermarket lugnuts on his subaru oem rims and its not even his driveway. its his mommy's driveway.
jk.
subarus are great cars. but evo is just more refined and a way better all around car. and it looks way better than any year of subaru. And more reliable.
and its just a better car.

Always been an Evo fan since High School. I would always say it was my dream car, and as I found out more about the car I knew this was going to be a car I could never own
My senior year I finally got my first car, which was a 2g eclipse non turbo. Since then Ive always loved Mitsu cars, and funny thing is that in high school I wanted a Honda, but then my dad showed up with the 2g, and thats when all the Mitsu love came in. Im glad I stayed a Mitsu fan

Now I have my 03 Evo, and I love this car. You can have a better looking, faster car than my Evo, but Im always going to be a Mitsu guy.
Sure I wanted a 2006 Evo when i was in the market, but hey a 2003 Evo with 62,xxx isn't that bad.

I've always been into ALL things Japanese... their culture, food, people, wrestling, anime and cars. When Top Gear UK did that episode were the FQ-400 kept up with a Lamborghini, I KNEW the Lancer Evolution was a special kind of car... and being the Lamborghini is one of my all time favorite cars, for a four door saloon car to keep up really said a lot to me as far as the performance of the car went. I researched more and more and everything just fell into place. I also like the "rare" factor. I live in a small town, I'm the only Evo owner for at least 65 miles. I didn't see my first Evo until just a few years ago, and that was well over 270 miles from my house in Minnesota. After a test drive of a 2003 VIII, it was all said and done... a year later, after a total of 2yrs looking, I found mine: 2006 wicked white Lancer Evolution IX. It's certainly a "dream car" for sure.
I've wanted one since I was 10. Playing GT3 way back in 01, the evo was my favorite rally car to use. Loved the way it looked. Always wanted one since then. It's also semi practical being a 4 door, handles better than any car I've ever owned, and never gets boring to drive.
wanted one since I found out what they were when the evo V came out and I knew I would never get my hands on one b/c it was japan only...then a glimmer of hope when it went on sale in the UK in 98...and finally here in 03!! ...had to wait for the right time to buy one and when that time came the X had fully grown on me and I wouldn't have it any other way!
When I was younger I always wanted a Turbo eclipse but I was in high school and my parents thought it was to expensive and a horrible choice for me. So first thing I did once I was out on my own and making some money was get a GST. It was affordable. By 2006 when the evo 9 came out I knew it was my dream car it was love at first sight. However the price tag didnt agree with me only making like $20,000 a year. So as time went on I owned some other cars. 07 gt eclipse, 92 nissan nx. Eventually my credit had built up, Im in the army so I get approved for things easier and I found a shop that sold nothing but evos sti and other rarity turbo cars. They had exactly what I wanted a SSL evo 9 for $19,000. My payments on my 07 eclipse where high as hell still since i bought that car when it was $28,000 because at the time I couldnt find any evos at all. So switching to the evo actually saved my money had a lower interest rate and was my dream car. Really a no brainer.
However Im not gonna lie I miss my other 2 eclipses a lot and will eventually own another gst or eclipse gt. The gt just was such a great daily drive as it has luxury the evo could never dream of.
