New member, saving up for an evo
Hello everyone, im just starting out on these forums, and while i dont own an evo right now, im looking to purchase one soon and then be able to actually add some intelligence to the forum. Im currently a mechanical engineering student in college so i may find some cool deals for parts and tricks for whichever model i end up buying since im not made of money. This is my first post and i am looking(drooling) at an evo in the BST, so i want to get my 15 posts out of the way but try to keep them helpful or relevant. Im not foolish enough to think im a king on the road, but ive driven quite a bit on everything from cars and trucks to quads and snowmobiles, so please dont flame me on anything because im young. Im not a bad driver but im far from Formula One. The evo is a beautiful machine though and i would love to own one and hopefully take it all the way to track racing one day, but for now i want the fun of the turbocharger and all the tweaks with the stability of its AWD.
so, thats it for now, just wanted to say hello to everyone and get some of my information out there. Hopefully i can contribute to the forums soon

Welcome, this forum is extremely helpful & truly knowledgeable. Most people here are good with making these cars go real fast. I have owned many cars in my lifetime, the evo x mr is by far one of the best cars I have ever had the pleasure of driving. The car makes you feel so alive & gets the little hairs on your neck to stand up.
A little bit of mods, this car is a beast.

Ive been creeping around on here for a while and it seems that most people are actually very smart and most are helpful, The evo x is probably my favorite to look at, but my price range will probably keep me in the evo IX range or lower, but regardless like you said, these cars are beasts regardless of year/model. Thanks for the post
Nothing wrong with a ix,as a matter of fact a lot of people on here prefer the ix over the x anyways.
There are lots of good evos out there, just gotta look.
Keep in mind they are such sweet rides, can't beat the handling / power. Good luck with your purchase.

I love the IX as well, but if money was no issue i think the X looks the nicest, but the differences arent enough to really make me thing much differently between the two. Thanks for the posts, im hoping to get going in an evo really soon
The differences are night and day between the X and IX. X is the better car for very slight improvement on creature comforts, the IX is the more raw car of the two. There hasn't been much general success in making the Evo X's perform like the IX/VIII's do.

Welcome to the family bro. Evo's are amazing cars and u'll love every minute of driving one. Don't exclude the VIII, especially since you can grab one for a good price now-a-days. I love mine, but then again i'm bias
Welcome! Good luck with your search. These forums are very helpful and have helped me even over the course of a couple weeks on learning about my car and what I should avoid, etc. Lets see pics when you finally get it!
