Used car "book values".
From my experience working at dealerships I've learned that KBB(and cars.com) can be/is very overpriced. We used to ask our customers, "does KBB print off a check to buy your car?" because it's simply a reference that unfortunately is not realistic. When I would check out someone's trade-in we used autotrader.com because it asks for a lot of very specific info like # of owners, owned or financed, accidents, # of key fobs and even has an area where you can note any damage on the car and to what degree. Hope that helps a little!
