Thinking about purchase an Evo X
Hi guys, new here
So I am in the market for a new car, and I have certainly strongly considered purchasing an Evo X GSR or MR. I decided to come here for a few helpful pointers first before I went off and make a rushed decision. So I have a few questions and I'll get right to them:
How good would you say the Evo X is as a daily driver?! I'm not necessarily talking about the ride quality (I have test driven them so I know how they feel), but I am concerned about maintenance costs. Considering they use Brembo brakes, how much would the pads cost to replace? Also, is there any special maintenance required due to the fact that this car has a turbo and has a fairly high boost? How would the Evo hold up 6-8 years from now (when I finally have it paid off!) in terms of reliability?
I know the GSR would be fast and more fun to drive, but my wife does not know how to drive a stick, so if we are out in my car and an emergency happens and she has to drive, I would feel a lot better if I had the automatic - Are there any reliability concerns with Mitsu's new SST transmission?
I'm sure I'll have more questions, but these are just a few that I have to start off with. I'm looking forward to learning more about this wonderful car
Thanks!
