My 2004 Evo 8 from Italy
My 2004 Evo 8 from Italy
Hi!
I write from Italy and I have to say that I've never been so active in this forum. Now I would like to show you my black Evo 8. I bought it 4 years ago when it had 45'000 Km and step by step I've added exterior and performance parts to make it look and "sound" better...
Here is a mod list.
Engine:
Injen short ram intake with upper and lower intercooler pipes, Hks blow-off, Megan Racing exhaust manifold, Greddy competition Ti-C turbo-back (de-cat), 540cc injectors (the same as Evo7 or Evo 9, Evo 8 has 450cc ones), Walbro 255lt/h fuel pump, Tomei Arms M7960 turbo, mapped ECU.
Interior/exterior:
Apexi SAFC Neo, Blitz R-Vit, glossy black painted dash trim, leather front and rear door panels, cf shift knob, cf vortex generator, Seibon cf front lip, APR front canards, Varis style rear diffuser, cf GT wing, Brembo drilled front rotors, Varrstoen ES 221 wheels, Yokohama Advan sport tires.
The current power is 370hp with a boost peak of 1.6 bar. The peak could have been set to 2.0 bar to reach 400-410hp, but I have stock pistons and rods, so I don't want to risk...
Wing and wheels were installed last week. Wheels are 18x8.5 +15 so I'm going to roll or shave the fender lips not to have tire rubbing. If rolling/shaving won't be enough, I will probably buy a camber kit.
Springs and coilovers are stock ones.
Hope you like it.
Any advice welcome. Thx!

Sorry to say I don't like it,
I LOVE IT
I LOVE IT
I know that wing can be a little too much for a "370hp street car", but I'm a great fan of big wings, and I personally love it..! Before this one I had a 1500mm cf universal wing (the current one isn't far larger, it is 1580mm), but the alloy legs were too short and in my opinion it didn't flow well...
Just to correct you, the stock injector size for the evo VIII & IX is 560cc
Do you think that will fender rolling/shaving be enough to avoid tire rubbing while cornering with 18x8.5 +15 wheels?
Tires are 235/40/18.
