Hi guys. I know this question is ask a lot of times but i just wanna make it straight and clear which is better 05 Evo 8 or 06 Evo 9?

I want to replace my 04 Acura TSX so need help guys. I know there's an expert here about evo.

Yeah. I'd always go for a 9mr/gsr if money and availability isn't an issue. Far more worth the investment!

 

So Evo 9 mr is much better? Coz I think Evo 9 mr has 6 speed and gsr has 5 speed. But if i'm gonna build a drag evo still evo 9?

Are you wanting the evo to make it strictly a drag car? If so IMO i would get an 8 and take the money you saved and dump into mods. If you want a DD and occasionally take it to the strip go with the 9.

 

Evo 9 and don't get a mr if you want to race an mod it ! 6 speed tranny is a no go. Evo 9 also comes with a bigger and better turbo stock.

 

If you are turning this into a straight drag car get the evo 8 03-04 since no acd. You can save MoneyMoney plus the 8 will be just as competitive with a evo 9 both on built motors. If you are just dd or bolt on parts get the 9. More then likely if you builtbuilt drag car you will rip out most interior that you get with the 9 and higher price cause of it. People swear by mivec yet more and more guys are putting on the evo 8 head on to evo 9 block. Hmm must not be that great then once you are in full build mode. Definitely get a 5 speed

That would be a great advice. Maybe im gonna go with 5 speed. How about dogbox? Is it good?

Plus they all go to non acd transfer case to. 03 04 its best bet my friend. Enjoy it and turn done quick times.

 

get a 8. once you upgrade cams in both cars the playing field is the same. EVO 8 cams are less expensive.
