I'd say get an 8, less complications on modding it compared to the MIVEC head

 

If it was me it all comes down to the mileage, condition and budget.

 

You can't go wrong either way, I own a ix but the viii is still on the same level. If your going for looks I'd say the ix has a nicer interior and bumper but that's everyone's opinion. Power wise your going to make more power with the ix off the bat with the mivec head and the bigger hotside. But you can find a cheap clean viii a lot easier than you can a ix.
