05 evo 8 transfer case

05 evo 8 transfer case

hi.
a 05 evo 8 tranfer case will fit on a 06 gsr evo 9? or any different between this two transfer? thanks.

If I'm not mistaken the it will fit but the 9 has the ACD and the 8's don't so therefor you're downgrading and you won't be able to use the ACD. But it should bolt up fine why would you want to do this?? Because an 8 tcase is cheaper?? It's cheaper for that reason plus some might say not built as strong

03 and 04 didnt have it

the 05's 8's have acd

i had an 06 ACD tcase in my 05 ACD so i would only assume.

05 acd = 06 acd

+1...^ I have a 05 GSR with ACD stock. And replaced my destroyed 05' ACD with a IX ACD. Same thing.

while you do lose ACD functionality with a non ACD case, the ACD t cases are not as strong because there is more stuff crammed into the case for the ACD and once there is more power its easier for you to destroy it. but again i dont know your end state goals with the car or what power level its at. just giving my .02 though

why i'm going to lose the acd functionality? a 2005 evo come with thae acd.
