When will you be able to import older evos from Japan
When will you be able to import older evos from Japan
Anyone know that law, that prevents cars like the SKYLINE R34 or other evos from being imported to the states legally. From what ive read its something like 20 years after they were made or 25 years? When can you legally start importing these cars like a 2001 R34.

The car needs to be 25 years old so evo 1 will be 2017 and an R34 Skyline GTR (first year production 1999) will be 2024.
If you're really keen on something really nice and JDM then try out an R32 Skyline GTR, the first production year models should be legal to import 2014. Even though they're old they are fantastic cars, you won't have any troubles with the nicer examples out there. The nice examples are out there so you can find them if you persevere, but remember, money talks.
