Question Whats the difference in Evo engines?

So, I have a Evo 9 and need an OEM block. I found on Ebay a Evo 4 complete engine, trans, transfer case, and wire harness for $2,200. I know the Head would not work since I have the MIVEC setup but would the block work? Thanks guys

The e4 block is the same yes, but 5-9 are more refined. The e4 is probe to crank walk. Stay away. Why would you want to spend 2200 for a bunch of useless and outdated parts. Just get a speed shop like buschur to build you an engine. Probably cheaper than2200

I just need an OEM block with internals. I'm told that an Evo 8 block might be different than a Evo 9 block. I don't want to go buy one then find out the hard way in the end that it wont work.

Last time I went to the mitsu dealer I thought OEM blocks were around $1,700 new
