Iceland. Welcome.

1. There are too many variables to really gauge HP. You guys use different fuel, a different system of units for measuring HP etc etc

2. The Evo IX should only be 2006 and 2007. The Evo 8 was 2005. It could be different for Iceland of course, but I don't think it was. Could be wrong.

Either way... it sounds like a nice ride. Post up some pics!

Skip the IX turbo.

No matter how good of condition the seller says it is in, you'll want to have it inspected and most likely rebuilt. Save yourself the hassle and buy a NEW stock-frame turbo.

What kind of power are you hoping for?

Also when you test drive it just listen for noises that arent normal. Listen to the motor with the hood popped, check underneath for leaks. Check brakes/rotor wear, turn key to on position and make sure all dash lights turn on. Etc, sometimes when you buy a car its a complete crap shoot until you get it home and can really tear into it. Good luck though!!!

I'm not looking for like crazy power maybe something like 400-450hp to start with ! don't want to go all in at first, Cause i'm talking to one of previous owners and he agreed with me that this car was boosting little too much for the parts that was stock left (28 Psi) , He had it remapped to (24Psi) but sold it after that,

I mean you never know what youre buying from someone else especially someone whos modded it the car. The best thing to do is look over everything throughly and the seller's vibe is another big thing. If he seems shady or anything walk away. Make sure things add up, receipt are a biggy too!!!

For turbo go with a EF2, FP Green, BBK. That'll get you to your goals and have a nice powerband.
