Question Trying to find

i currently own a 2002 eclipse gt i am giving my lease up on it and getting an 03 lancer. i was curious of the easiest and cheapest way of getting it down to running 0-60 in the 6 second range somehow without doing an engine swap for an evo series engine. well any help would be appreciated thanks. trying to cut back on money so gimme an estimated price too thanks

I think you might be able to get into the 6sec. range with a nitrous kit. NX-about $500 An NX kit is probably the only real performance item I plan on getting.

Don't count on doing an Evo swap anyway if you're even considering it as even a high buck option to gain power: LEARN

As for that 6 second range...a stock Lancer will run it at around 9 so a lot of work is definitely necessary. The engine is underpowered for the weight the Lancer is toting so try to either reduce your weight and go with some high end bolt ons (IHE and nitrous would be necessary at the least) or be prepared to spend some of your dollars on a turbo setup or a top notch NA setup. Making the Lancer quick = $

drop much weight, even headers/intake/exhaust won't get you there, and nitrous might not be sufficient either. take out the rear seat and trunk materials and add as much lightweight cf pieces that you can get.

run off the headers, and take off your hood, doors, trunk, seats, fenders ( use a milk carton crate) remove your Box, headlights, tail lights, fenders. i bet that could get you 0-60 in 6. and thats all free!
