Long time Mitsu Owner, first time Evo Owner
Long time Mitsu Owner, first time Evo Owner
Finally I can do a proper introduction. I originally signed up on evom 2 years ago, but due to some issues, I never got the confirmation email to validate my username. Finally got around to getting ahold of the power that be and finished my initial log in validation. So here I am.
I have been a Mitsu owner for over 10 years. I am the Autocross/Road Race Mod on www.club3g.com . I bought my first Mitsu while in college (01 Eclipse GT PP). It was a big upgrade from my first vehicle and I soon found myself wanting to upgrade the car. I started off small with bolt ons and what not and what started as a hobbie quickly grew into an obsession. I met my wife thru the 3rd Gen Eclipse car club (it is a chick car afterall). While still slow in the straight line, I have really transformed this heavy ***, FWD, N/A, redheaded step child of a car into something that handles very well and can hold its own on the autocross/road course. I have beaten on many an evo/dsm at the Bushur Racing DSM Shootout Autocross the past two years and raced at the top of my class each year in Autocross. See pics below:

So, you might ask, why post this on a Evo website??? My wife and I started the National Mitsubish Meet, Mitsus Take On the Dragon (www.mitsustakeonthedragon.com) with the hopes of getting all of the Mitsu fans/owners out there together to have fun on all the back roads of the Smoky Mountains and really enjoy DRIVING your car, not hard parking it at some car show. My wife became pregnant in 2011 and we had our first child. In 2011 and 2012, we couldn't all fit into the Eclipse, so we had to take two cars town from NE Ohio to Gatlinburg. This spring we finally decided it was time to get a fun family car that we can all fit into. So we are now going to be the proud new owners of a Wicked White 2013 Evolution X MR Premium Package.

We are both looking forward to getting the car loaded up and just enjoy driving it. I am not planning on going all out with the new car like I did in the past with the 3g. I am planning on lowering the car on Swift Sport Springs, Perrin Rear Sway Bar, Cobb AP Tune, Cobb SF Intake, Gram Lights 57dr gun blue 18x9.5 wheels, 245-255 Hankook RS3s and random powdercoated bits in the engine bay area. If I can get a respectable 300whp/300ftlbs out of it Ill be thrilled.
I look forward to learning from this community and also meeting many of you over the years at meets/events.

Sweet! Nice looking car, I just bought a 2010 SE that's the same color. I was never a big fan of white, but it really grows on you! Congrats on your buy!
I also once owned a 2001 Eclipse GT, which I absolutely hated. I later sold it and picked up a 95 GST which launched me into the DSM community.
Not worried about voiding the warranty by modding the new Evo?

Car looks great man!
If I was going to get into an EVO X, it would probably be the MR. A few bolt ons on the Xs can go along way. A local X to me is making 351WHP/381TQ with a ETS Turbo back Exhaust w/Dump, ETS Intake, Grimspeed, and a tune from Devin @ Boostin Performance.
