Picked up a 2008 Evo X. 51k miles
I have driven it around a few times, it has an a/m clutch and is taking a getting use to.
Car moves pretty good, the prior owner had it dynod at 366 and 306 on a mustang dyno.
Fpred, and cams, and pistons, and intake and exhaust and intercooler

I am pretty happy so far, wish it had more torque. Doesnt feel as quick as my STI though. Might be me learning how to drive it.

Also I think I need a tune as when i come to a stop the revs bounce to 1800 and take about 15 sec to get back down to 750.

 

I'd say datalog it with a tactrix/AP and get some info about the knocksum it's currently registering before really beating on it or driving hard.

With an FPRed I would get some logs up immediately if I were you

 

get it to the shop for compression check and look over. if you haven't already would be your best bet.

 

Sounds like a pretty ****ty tune if it's only making that much on an FP red. Definitely get some logs and post them here. MIVEC maps can probably use a bit of tweaking if you're producing such low torque numbers

 

who tuned that thing man? those #'s are nowhere near what they should be...cams and stock turbo would give you more power than that.....

My guess is someone blew it up, rebuilt it, it's not running right, so they sold it.

 

I might have messed up. Looks like I will be running out to get a proper tune.

It did dyno at 442 on a power dyne

wont drive it till after it is looked over though
