From Alaska

I just realized I didn't make a post here and I signed up last Sept. ha ha.

Any ways bought a 2006 WW Evo 9 with the SSL package. Didn't even know Evo's came with that package and I scored one Bought it with 29,500 miles. First thing I did was flush all the fluids out and got them replaced with OEM fluids.

Car came 100% stock and one owner so I think I did good for buying it in Alaska

This is what I did so far, K&N drop in filter, Buschur Under hood shifter & solid base shifter bushings, white stubby antenna, white LED interior lights, HID fogs and high beams, debadged trunk, and plasti dipped front badge.

Couple questions here, whenever I do fast shift and drop the clutch I hear a loud thump from the rear and it scares the **** out of me so I don't do it any more. No idea what it could be. I also get this pop noise from the front driver tire area. It's so random doesn't do it all the time but somethings it'll just POP. Like a spring or something no idea. Other than that car seems to drive pretty damn good. Trans seems kinda sticky feeling in first and second but not sure if it's supposed to be like that so that's why I did the bushings first.

Also can't find any info about the downpipes with ACD. I need to find a downpipe that goes around the ACD correct? I been searching around and non of the descriptions mention anything about the ACD on their downpipes.

Thanks for reading!

Loud thump can be your rear transfer case. This happen to me when I down shift to fast then release the clutch. Actual speed does not match the gearing etc.
Evo have inverted struts so overtime it picks up gravel then the little rocks and pebbles get caught between the spring and the cup of the strut. This is normal.
I have used the Perring downpipe with ACD. Hope this helps...
