New Evo Owner
New Evo Owner
Hello everyone.
Recently I purchased a 2012 Evolution GSR and was just looking for some info on a few things.
Being that this car is new, off the lot, when should the first oil change be?
I understand full synthetic is the way to go, but is there a brand preferred over another?
Other than the oil change, is there any other regular routine maintenance that should be done?
Pretty much have put the next six years of my life into purchasing this car, and I just want to be sure that it's going to last. I've heard dealerships giving misleading information on a few things, so I figured I would come right to the pros, the people who actually own the car and not just talk about it.
Thanks again everyone for the info.

Personally I like to change the oil every 3000 miles with mobile 1. If you are keeping the car stock for a while you could probably increase the interval to 4000 or so. But once you start modding and adding extra power I would adhere to the severe maintenance schedule which is every 3000 miles for oil.
It will be stock for a while. The old lady set some ground rules when I purchased the car. No money spent on it until we find a better place to live. Small price to pay for a dream car I suppose.
