Everything I need to know about an Evo 8?

I am looking to get into a Evo 8 in the future and I would like to know what you guys know. Yes, I have read the stickies about what to look for when buying on, also the newbies guide to modding. I came from researching a lot about dsm's and what to do to mod them do I am a set in that department, I just want to know more about the evo.

I want to know the layout of the evo engine, what every hose is for. I want to know things to delete, like I know on dsm's deleting the balance shaft is a must, and on subaru's deleting the tgv's helps you alot. Stuff like that is what i want to know. Do you guys have any good links that are good reads? Or even a book, magazine, etc. etc.

Thanks

Edit: also how does the Evo 8's awd work? Is it 50/50? Ive driven a few and they feel mostly fwd.

Look at the stickies, they give great info regarding everything you ask.

Im on a tight budget so I am looking at a 2003 as a daily driver. In the future I will want to make it 400hp, i just test drove a 03 with the ams 3076 turbo kit on it making 409 to the wheels and it was absolutely insane. Felt like a freaking spaceship, im a subaru guy but that car made me forget all about subarus, now i want to learn as much as I can about evos

^ i was gonna say, i've taken some corners in a fwd car, and it didn't feel like taking corners in my Evo lol IMO you really don't need to do a lot of deleting (if any) on the 8's. Most guys i know are well into the 450-500hp range and still retain just about everything, AC included. One thing you could possibly delete is the balance shaft but really that's it from my exp. Anyone else feel different?

what i meant by the fwd thing was it felt like most of the power went to the front, like it torque steered alot once i hit boost, compared to wrx's and sti's it felt more fwd biased. now it wasnt like a srt4 but it did torque steer a little like a fwd car would

I can honestly say my 380-400-ish awhp EVO never torque steers. I'm not even sure what could cause that...?
