I personally have an ETS wide tank, but you can't go wrong with AMS, MAP or CBRD.

I've seen good results out of the Vrsf 3.5in but they have 4in also. The 3.5 is about 380 and the 4 is 100 more I think. A lot of the guys local use the turbo xs with no issues. But there is nothing touching ETS in the proven factor.

whichever way you go, get the 3.8" garrett core, best cooling available to fit the stock location. Buschur and CBRD agree on this basic rule.

I would wait until you have more cooling needs.

you gain peak power with an intercooler on stock turbo but you will lose tq and response.

Is it all untrue or just partially untrue?

I imagine you would lose some response it you went too big but since the stock intercooler is not holding a stock turbo back, I wouldn't expect any additional power.

which is why I counselled "don't bother", but I'm still an ignorant noob.

I would spend money elsewhere as the factory IC is fine and upgrading isnt going to help you much where you are now. Thats just me tho...
