From the West to the East
New from the West
Whats going on guys, and guy-ettes, fellow Evo obsessors
my names James, i was a mechanic in a previous life, im new to the Evo game, and new to Augusta GA, just moved here from Monterey Cali.
I've got a 2006 Electric Blue Evo 9 with 56,000 miles on it (was 52,000 when i bought it), actually bought it the day i moved from Monterey to Augusta, put 3000 miles on it in 2 and a half days, so that was a good acclimation period for me and Audrey(cars name, after Audrey Hepburn lol), I've been in Georgia for a month now and frequent Nashville, got a lot of car buddies up there.
I'm originally from Kerville, about an hour and a half from of San Antonio Texas.
The Evo was previously owned by a member on here SPOOLIN4g63, but i got it from a BMW dealer after he traded it in.
whats in the car:
-60k mile major service with all OEM factory parts (only part not OEM was the serpentine belt, which I used a gates belt).
-New NGK spark plugs. Fresh coolant.
-ACT pressure plate and OEM clutch disc.
-AMS upper and lower clutch lines.
-stainless steel brake lines.
-Power Slot slotted brake rotors and Hawk HPS brake pads.
-shep racing tranny.
-walbro fuel pump.
-ARP head studs.
-JDM rear bumper.
-OEM Visors.
-Vortex Generator from REXPEED.
I have Injen intake and UICP, ETS LICP
and some Tein S-Tech springs purchased and on their way in the mail. (i know i know, ditch the springs, im going to, in about 6 months or so, they are just temp to see if i can daily it easily around here with a little bit of a drop, either way im never gonna stance it) and also have Work Emotion CR Kai's in the works sometime in the future lol.
i like going to meets, talking about cars for endless amounts of time and helping out others when i can, whether it be with a car or just moving or something.
I've seen a member on here already, read his license plate, and the frame was evom.net. its a yellow evo 8 with a 9 front bumper and looks like its on coils.
She's a little out of place here lol

Doing some tire cleaning

Audrey and her Mazda cousins

couple updates,
got my mechanical boost gauge and AFR gauge, went straight pipe to destrict a little but left the muffler on the back so shes still quiet
took the wheels back to silver though, i feel like it looks cleaner and just better with the blue that way.
also popped the head lights open and smoked all the chrome metallic black, and the corners to a dark amber.
fogs also to amber.
im looking into getting some wider wheels eventually, some 9.5's, but til then i was just thinking about grabbing some 25mm spacers and throwing them on.
also got a 49" m3 trunk lip coming in the mail, so we'll see how that looks

i need to sand and clean up my lenses soon.

i actually grew up in the south, Texas and Tennessee, just had a year of training in Cali
Ahhh. I never lived in TN but I did live in TX. I miss it there sometimes but the hills and mountains over here (+ the beach) makes up for it. = )
theres a lot of good cars in TX and not a lot of rust lol, i havent been to the mountains or anything around here yet, but i really really am dying to find a good curvy road, have had no luck so far
