Grats on the switch! MR looks great! I too had a few BMW's -- 2000 328i, 2002 M3, 2005 M3.

I would have at least test drove the CLA45 AMG before buying the Evo. The CLA is a classy, luxury, sports car. The evo is just a sports car.
47-48k base. I had one on order and they kept delaying it. I found out yesterday that there was a good chance that mine would not be built until August if I had kept my spot. The MSRP of my CLA was in the low $60k range. Also, I test drove a CLA250 sport, and except for the seats and steering wheel the interior is the same as in the CLA45. The MR that I have is just as nice on the inside.

I just looked at a 2014 MR and it was $46,340. That's not half of $48k.

The AMG comes well equipped as a base model and IMO has a "fit and finish" that is leagues beyond Mitsubishi:

Not that the MR is a bad car, but we're comparing apples and bananas here. Remember that Mitsubishi sales have **** the bed since the economic crisis and they have invested almost nothing into R&D since. It shows.

The CLA 45 base model come "equipped" with nothing you see in that photo except the roof liner. The point is that I'm not waiting a year for a car. If you want one go get one. Good luck finding one for $48k. And I never once said it was half the price.

That pcfreak guy is a total idiot. He just said "with under 10 grand your a gtr/porsche turbo killer" PLEASE do not have that as your expectations, it's blatant bogus. Btw KING is a great place. I almost bought a '14 WW GSR but it was just too much money for a mitsubishi. Nice car.

We should not be comparing the Evos interior to ANY Mercedes. It's just not fair lol, there's no way you can claim its "just as nice". No evo interior has been particularly nice.

Well, I've been in one, and to me it appears just as nice. What's funny is that here you all are downplaying the Evo interior, give that it is fully optioned. While on the CLA forum where I have been lurking since I ordered my CLA45 way back in July, they all agree with me. As a matter of fact, at least 4 guys have cancelled and bought EVO's, as I have. The CLA interior is no where on the same level as other benze's. Just like the lancer, there is hard plastic everywhere. If you want the options pictured above that will add about $9k to the base price. If not, then you don't get the carbon trim, leather on the doors and dash, the Recaros, or the 7" MM display.

Congrats on your new EVO man! I actually was in the process of buying the new 2014 CLA 45 AMG as well, but the wait list turned me away. They start off just around $49K. The one I was looking at was $59,800 and that's not even out the door and wasn't even fully loaded. Still a great price for a AMG, but people thinking that there going to walk in and get decent optioned CLA 45 AMG for that price is wrong.

No matter what options, the evo just doesn't have nice interior. ANY car has better interior, even the Hondas and they are cheap. Nothing personal, as Evos aren't about interior I just find the price to be too high, I have no problem with lower end interior so long as the price matches. ANY other car in the Evos price range completely outshines on the inside.

Am I the only one that is bothered by the endless comparison between cars in this thread? Its hard to believe he's on an Evo forum and everyone is acting like he made the wrong decision. Last time I checked, the thread title said "Just bought an EVO" NOT "lets compare the EVO to the AMG"... /end rant

Congrats to the OP on the purchase of an EVO! Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy the car.

Go sit in a base CLA and get back with me.

Other than that, let's agree to disagree.

Minus the leather dash. The fit and finish of my evo is very similar in quality to the CLA's I have driven.
