X Demographic

I've recently experienced some prejudice against "tuners." I've lived in Santa Cruz, CA for 18 years now. Over time I've noticed this area prefers older American cars. Ie., 57 Chevy, etc... and doesn't care much for tuners. I grew up in the "valley", Sacramento, CA, installing car stereos and building speaker boxes for slammed mini-trucks. Tuners are in my blood and people around here don't really get it... anyway. It may sound like I care - I don't, but it got me thinking about the X demographic. I'm curious, who are the buyers of these cars?

There is a long-running "What's your profession" thread somewhere. From what I remember, a disproportionate number of engineers, military, and IT folks.

It's a 40k vehicle. Your demographics will mostly be a young working professional or well established craft worker.

Current cars:
2008 Evo X GSR
2003 Evo VIII GSR

I have owned 4 Evos now with the X being my latest one and getting my first one when I was 19.

Where I live the X owners tend to be a bit older than a lot of the 8/9 owners, but I am also sure that is due to the cost difference.

At 26? Not bad.

I've been writing software for 15 years and never had this title. Although my company hierarchy is pretty flat with well-defined ladders.

Married...two kids. I came from a camaro ss and then a mopar edition charger. I had a 2005 VIII that i traded in back in the day and missed it.
Biggest question i get is why at my "age" do I drive an evo. Now when the heck did 33 become old?
