Yes I always try and give the knod. But alot of evo owners are cocky little punks that dont give props back. Instead I get mean mugged or get a reved at lol....

I tried too yesturday to a new Evo I've only seen around a few times. I saw at the last second yesturday and waved, but I don't think he saw me I took my wing off yesterday to stop the negative attaention from the general public. But now, I'm not noticed positivley either!

 

I was driving around a traffic circle in Beaverton, Oregon on Friday and there was a black Evo IX going around the other side of the circle. He honked and I waved. That was cool. I've never seen that Evo before, so maybe they were just passing through. Evo's in the Portland Metro area are all pretty friendly. Of all the ones I've seen, they either acknowledge me or didn't see me.

I try to acknowledge other Evos on the road. Honestly, about the half the time though, they won't look at me, or they'll try racing me. There is a black VIII that lives around me somewhere, and every time I see him, he tries racing me on the main road through our little down town area. Needless to say, he looks like an idiot when he takes off like crazy, and I just continue on with my business. Haha, I actually get more waves from STI/WRX owners than I do from Evo owners around here. It's like an AWD appreciation wave I guess.

but, today, somethin weird... i was on a highway, in traffic, moving 20mph, come up on a black Evo Ix (nearly identical to mine, only mine is an SE), and the guy wont even look at me.
i honk, wave, all that.... we stayed door to door for a few minutes, till traffic started moving well, and we got separated... i was left wondering - whats wrong with some people ??
obviously its no big deal, just the point

i always try to..if i see them, and thats most of the time! there was this one clean white 05 sti that was comin up behind me on the 101 while i was on my way to get my alignment and i thought he was gona do the usual flyby bov. but instead he gave me a thumbs up.i just did the gangsta nod. lol. and there was this one apex silver ix on the same highway(101).he was probably in his mid 40's and gave me a wave while i passed him.i just waved back. and another one while i was on my way to vegas and a dude with a scion xb gave me a thumbs up.i thought that was all cool.

 

If I think the other EVO driver will see/hear me I will honk and/or rev. Sometimes I get a honk back or a wave.

 

There is a Bosnia guy in town with the same exact color and year as mine. I see him once an a while. When i do see him, I wave, but he looks at me like I dont exist. I would think with us being in Iowa, with the Iowa state car being the Grand Prix, he would at least understand that we have great taste when it comes to cars. There was a BBY 8 in Des Moines that I saw on the way downtown, we pretty much had a conversation for about 3 miles.... Then my friend in Ft. Dodge, he came into the office and struck up a conversation when he saw my car in the parking lot.

 

I do everytime. But have ran into few of them that I know seen me wave but they just ignore it.
