Should I buy this evolution IX for $13.5k, Clean title?
It is a bit of a distance away from where I am. I am going to ask the owner to take it to a shop and have a brief inspection done. If its good to go, Ill fly out there and buy her up!
I think the IX was a better deal than this 03 you posted. I don't see why many posters here are thinking this 03 is a great deal. I saw the classified ad for this car. You should note that even though this Evo you mention is for sale in the Southwest (where there is ZERO salt on the roads), the last two pics show that this thing is rusty/corroded in the engine bay- not a good sign. Personally, I wouldn't go near it with that rust- I don't care how low the miles are or how much less it is than KBB.
I bought my 03 evo viii for $11k cash and 84k miles but did a crazy amount of haggling and drove 5 hours each way to pick it up. Good deals are out there (especially around the holidays people get tight on cash) but do your research. If you're really interested, show him by paying for a carfax and offer to pay $xxx to have the car looked at by a local dealership/shop that YOU choose. If you decided not to buy the car he is reimbursed for his time by having a full inspection of the vehicle for free. Good luck!

BTW, noticed the Bronco pic, you from around Denver?
This has been on CL for a while now but it seems to be a good price? Anyone have any opinions?

I do wonder why has it been for sale for a while at that price though? From my observations, these cars tend to move quickly in CO.
