I don't know anything about the Injen pipes, I don't think they would cause you to lose power though I'd leave them on there if it was me. Less bends equals better flow.

I would STRONGLY recommend getting rid of the stock plastic BOV. Those things do not hold boost well and you will lose power with it. Get a stock 9 BOV and all is cured, it's also REAL easy to replace as a plus.

Where in California are you?

i read alot about the bov and i almost ended up getting a evo x bov (metal alluminium) but it took my boost from 23lbs(on this stock plastic 8 bov) to 19lbs(on the x bov) so i didnt buy it. i have a oem eclipse bov. will that work?

central california.

I have no idea if the Eclipse BOV will work on it. I kind of doubt it though. I can't see the X valve working at all, it's a totally different engine. Look in the for sale section. There is a 9 BOV in there for a good price somewhere.

A little high priced but one to shoot for: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...e-oem-bov.html

One more at a lot better price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-EVOLUTION-OEM-BOV-BLOW-OFF-VALVE-EVO8-CT9A-314-/281234045120?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item417adaf8c0&vxp=mtr

the link you posted is for a stock 8 bov(?) i have that one. and it holds very good boost. all they way to 23 and stays at about 21-22psi

I'm about done with you. Why in the HELL would I post you a link for an 8 BOV when I told you earlier that they are a PROVEN POS. You will NOT see any modded evo with a plastic 8 BOV. If you have one that looks like the above ones then you are good if not see below.

Both of the ads are for 9 BOV's.You may not believe it leaks but if you were to dyno it you would find out different. If you don't care to listen I'm done trying to assist you. Good luck with your POS leaking 8 BOV.
