MAP sensor question...

Apexi PowerFC has a standard 3bar map sensor. I am thinking of replacing it with either a 3.5bar or a 5bar map sensor from AEM.

What do i need to do in-order for the PwrFC to co-relates to either a 3.5bar or 5 bar map sensor?

I want to boost my GT35r at 2.3bar...

Please advise...

You can hook up the GM 4 Bar sensor but you will have to calibrate it via the offset number with a datalogit. I assume you have a datlogit?

I need up my boost at 2.3bar with my GT35R.

I have Datalogit and Apexi Boost Control kit.

With AEM 5Map Sensor,
Could I run 2.3bar with Apexi Boost control kit if the presure sensor boost is 3bar absolute(2bar boost) or I will need to install a manuall control boost?

Thanks.

Yes you can use AEM 5 bar. THat is what we use here if necessary. You can change the calibration number on Power FC using the Datalogit. You wil obviously need to hard wire it in but that's no biggy .

Well first you take a vacuum reading at idle with the 3 bar that you are using. Then change sensor and change offset number until the vacuum reading is the same with the new sensor as it was with old one. Then setup the scaling the way you want. It's not too bad.

A good option for Map sensor using PFC is the AVC-R unit, it's a 3.5 bar and it's interchangeable with the original one without any need of rewiring, as it uses the same connector, and it's accurate up to 2.5 bar. I don't remember the values you have to put in the datalogit boxes, but if you need them, i can check on my settings, no problem.....

For the setup i did not use any flow curve, i only changed the 2 values in the datalogit related to the map sensor, and everything worked fine, but i don't remember them, i will be glad to check them and telling you, only problem is that i will have to wait a couple of days, my car is in the garage of my tuner.....
