Assuming you mean evo VIII, not evo VI

1) Are you responsible enough to drive the car appropriately and not race every other d-bag on the road that thinks racing at a stop light of a busy intersection is a great idea?

2) Are you mechanically inclined and do you and or your parents have tools?

3) How many miles do you drive daily?

4) Do not buy an RX-8, and if you can afford and MK4 Supra, i'm jelly.

Evo's can make great reliable daily drivers if driven with respect and not being modded out like crazy. However maintenance will cost you more than the average car and the gas mileage is not too good for a daily driver.

Would this be your first car? If so I'd highly recommend driving another car for at the very least a year or so. Even more if you've never driven stick before.

I got my Evo at 19 and am closing in on 23 now. It's a lot of car to handle for an inexperienced driver, and even if you do maintenance yourself, price for parts alone can add up quickly depending on how lucky/unlucky you may be.

As said insurance will be high parents or not because of your age. Honestly im surprised your parents are ok with you getting a supra or evo at that age. I had a 92 explorer when I was 17.
Do u mean a mk4 supra?
Do u have a job that you can afford the gas and maintenance if you cannot do it yourself?
Blatantly also if u cant work on a basic motor like the evo I def would stay away from the rx8 because rotary motors are incredibly fickle.
